Laredo, TX (March 16, 2010) Once again, Falcon International Bank grows as its employees grow! Continuing its tremendous pace of development, Falcon International Bank President and COO Gilbert Narvaez Jr. is pleased to announce the promotions of the following individuals for their dedication and unrelenting efforts of personal and professional achievement.
Jesus Romero Jr. was promoted to supervisor of the collections department. Jesus has over 15 years of banking experience. Jesus is a native of Laredo and a graduate of Nixon High School where he went on to pursue his Associates in Art and Sciences at Laredo Community College. In his spare time Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenda, and their two children, Jesus III and his daughter Bryana.
Eduardo Jimenez was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology. Eddie, a native of Laredo and a graduate of Nixon High School, is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems. He has been a valued part of the Falcon family for over 13 years. When Eddie is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Maricela.
Bryan Gonzales was recently promoted to Assistant BSA Officer. Bryan has been with Falcon for eight years and was recognized as Banker of the Month in August 2009. Bryan is a native of Laredo and a graduate of Nixon High School. Bryan is dedicated to Falcon and has recently obtained his BSA Officer Certification Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their two children, Alyssa Jane and Joseph Gunner.
Vanessa Montoya was promoted to Finance Officer. Working in the Accounting Department, Vanessa has seven years of experience in the banking industry, including more than two with Falcon. Vanessa actively pursues professional development and received her bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from TAMIU in May 2005 and then went on and continued her education and received a masters degree in Professional Accountancy from TAMIU in May 2009. When she is not working, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her husband Joel, and her stepson Joel Jr.
Gabriela Gaytan was recently promoted to Assistant Compliance Officer. Gaby is responsible to help ensure the Bank is in compliance with Federal/State Laws and Regulations and that the proper bank policies and procedures are in place. Gaby has been with Falcon for three years and in this time has furthered her professional development by taking financial courses and attending the Texas Bankers Association Compliance School. In May 2006, Gaby received her bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from TAMIU in May 2006. Gaby enjoys being involved in the community and is a proud volunteer for Junior Achievement and a 2009 graduate of Leadership Laredo.
Josefina Lona, who contributes her talents to Falcon's Mortgage Department, has been promoted to Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. With over 15 years of banking experience, Josie is no stranger to the financial world. Josie is a native of Laredo and graduated from Cigarroa High School. In her time at Falcon, Josie has been an active participant and has attended several bank affiliated courses in mortgage loan processing, loan origination, underwriting, compliance and mortgage banking regulations. Josie has an active life in her community and has participated in the Laredo Builders Association Parade of Homes and Realty Tour. Outside of work Josie enjoys spending time with her husband Martin, and their daughter Andrea Isabel.
