Falcon Bank to acquire Eagle Pass PlainsCapital Bank Branch

Falcon International Bank announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement with PlainsCapital Bank for the purchase of a full service bank branch located at 275 South Bibb Avenue, Eagle Pass, Texas. The transaction will add to Falcon Bank approximately $16 million in assets, $13 million in loans, and $52 million in deposits.
Falcon Bank President, Gilbert Narvaez Jr., stated, “This transaction will enhance our presence in Eagle Pass and provide the opportunity to further expand our market share. We have cultivated many banking relationships in this community, and look forward to welcoming PlainsCapital Bank’s customers and employees to the Falcon Family.”
Falcon Bank was founded in Laredo, Texas in 1986. Following the completion of this transaction, Falcon will have total assets exceeding $960 million, and 15 branch locations up and down the IH-35 corridor from Laredo to Buda, and along the United States and Mexico border from Brownsville to Del Rio. This acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2015.
