Falcon Bank recently announced the promotion of two individuals, Lorena Zepeda and Homero Torres, at a bank staff meeting on February 25, 2014. Falcon attributes its success in-part to the efforts of extraordinary individuals such as these.
||Lorena Zepeda was promoted to Call Center Manager. In her new role, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Call Center Department.
||Homero Torres was promoted to Senior Loan Workout Officer. In addition to his current duties, Homero supervises the Collection Department and manages several aspects of the Special Assets Department.
Blanca Quinones has been named Falcon Bank's Banker of the Month for January!

Laredo, TX - The Laredo Chamber of Commerce Customer Service Committee hosted the Annual Five Star Service Awards on Thursday, December 5th at the Laredo Country Club. The Customer Service Committee recognized those local businesses that have gone that extra mile to provide outstanding customer service.
The Chairperson of the Customer Service Committee, Cassandra Wheeler, began addressed all nominees followed by welcoming remarks from the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board, Javier Moctezuma. In his welcoming remarks, Moctezuma not only recognized the nominees for excellence in customer service, he commended the nominees for helping to create a service oriented culture in our city as well.
The winners of the Five Star Service Awards were presented with a plaque in recognition of exemplary customer service in the category in which they were nominated. The winners in each category are as follows:

In preparing for the Five Star Service Awards, the Customer Service Committee opened a survey asking the community at large to nominate local businesses in all eight different categories.
This year’s Five Star Service Awards are unique in that winners are not chosen by a panel of judges but by the community at large. The selection process involves two phases: nomination and voting. Nomination is driven solely by the community choosing to highlight any business they feel is worthy of consideration. After the nomination process is closed, a second survey is put together with the names of the top nominees and the voting process begins. The online survey, comprised of the ten different services with more than 30 nominees overall, recorded a total of 1,283 votes and was open to the public to determine the winners of the awards.

Falcon International Bank President and COO Gilbert Narvaez Jr., is pleased to announce the promotions of two individuals: Jaclyn De La Viña-Mendez and Sergio Gonzalez. These officers were recently recognized for their unrelenting efforts and dedication of personal and professional achievement.
Jaclyn De La Viña-Mendez was promoted to Vice President. Upon taking on this new role, Jacyln is responsible for overseeing Retail Banking, Marketing, and Corporate Communications Divisions, and playing an active role in the bank’s strategic planning activities. Jacyln has been a member of the Falcon family for over 11 years. Jaclyn graduated from Texas A&M International University where she received both a bachelors and a master’s degree (MBA) in Business Administration. Additionally, Jaclyn has continued her education by attending the School of Bank Marketing and Management held at the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated from this two-year program after finishing her last year at Northwestern University in June 2005.
Sergio Gonzalez was promoted to Executive Vice-President of Lending. Sergio has over two decades of banking experience and has been a valued part of Falcon Bank for over seven years. In addition to his senior lender role, Sergio’s new role is to oversee the Laredo lending staff and play a more active role in managing the bank’s strategic lending objectives. Sergio graduated from Laredo State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Sergio knows the importance of furthering his education, he is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Bankers Lending School.
