Falcon International Bank names Jorge Gonzalez as President of FalconSure Insurance Agency

 

Jorge F. Gonzalez has been promoted to President of FalconSure Insurance Agency, a subsidiary of Falcon Bank. Gonzalez joined Falcon in September of 2003, with over two decades of banking and insurance-related experience.

Gonzalez is no stranger to the insurance business, having represented Mercy Health Plans for over five years. In his new position Gonzalez will continue to offer the extensive insurance options that FalconSure is known for, as well as expand its operation in the future.

His proven dedication, experience, and leadership will guarantee the continued success and growth of the agency," Falcon President and Chief Operating Officer, Gilbert Narvaez, Jr. said.

Gonzalez is licensed in Life and Health, and in Property and Casualty. Gonzalez graduated from J.W. Nixon High School in 1975, and then went on to graduate with honors from Texas A&M International University (formerly Laredo State University) with a BBA in Business.

Of this new responsibility, Gonzalez said, "I look forward to ensuring that our customers are able to protect the things that matter most in their lives, especially during these difficult times."

Gonzalez is just as passionate about serving our community as he is about serving his customers. Gonzalez has served with dedication and commitment on the United Way Board of Directors for 21 years and is the past President of United Way and the American Heart Association. Additionally Gonzalez is the former Chairman of the Board for the Chamber of Commerce and served on its Board for six years. Gonzalez dedicates time and service to the Boys and Girls Club Board where he has held a past position of Secretary and is currently the Treasurer. Additionally, Gonzalez has served on the Board of Workforce Solutions of South Texas since 2005. Gonzalez is the past President of Communities in Schools and currently serves on their Board of Directors as well as the board of Mercy Ministries of Laredo. In March 2006, Gonzalez was appointed to the Board of Directors at Laredo Medical Center, a position he still holds today. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with his wife Belinda, his four children, and his granddaughter. When not dedicating his time to others, Jorge enjoys a good game of golf.
